In the kitchen, the vinyl floors and old white cabinets, with dated peninsula, were removed, and the laundry area was relocated to the lower level. In their place came impressive hardwood floors, beautiful custom oak cabinets, two different coordinating gorgeous granite countertops, and an expansive island with a wonderful eating area. Other highlights of the kitchen remodel include terrific new appliances and great custom lighting.

In the entryway, the coat closet was relocated to facilitate easier access, and those impressive hardwood floors were installed here too, as well as in the dining room and down the hallway to the bedrooms.

Additionally, in the living room, outdated archway cutouts were filled in, and an inefficient fireplace was replaced with a direct vent fireplace surrounded by a dramatic stone wall. Other features to tie the transformation together included newly trimmed windows and smoothed ceilings in all the rooms. Finally, the curb appeal was greatly enhanced by the eye-catching new front porch. This remarkable project shows what you can do to make your existing space more usable, fresh and modern within a budget.
